JOB DESCRIPTION:

Senior Project Manager PPMO - R&D

The Opportunity

Our location in Columbus, OH, currently has an opportunity for a Senior Project Manager PPMO - R&D

In Research & Development (R&D) our ambition is to provide innovative high-quality products, creating sustainable value, delivering superior user experience and enhancing health outcomes at all stages of life.

Primary Function:
  • Serve as a strategic partner to cross-functional teams by driving stakeholder alignment, facilitating informed decision-making, framing risks and tradeoffs, and guiding teams through ambiguity to achieve successful project outcomes.
  • Projects will include line extensions, reformulations, new products, new manufacturing processes and new packages.
  • Plan projects by establishing timelines & budgets. Identify opportunities to improve project planning and forecast accuracy.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through complex and evolving challenges while providing structure, clarity, and direction. Identify and address synergies and/or conflicts across multiple projects.
  • Coach/guide/lead other PMs to elevate their level of performance in the above areas.
  • This position will work with limited supervision; is accountable for all project deliverables.


WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Drive decision readiness by identifying critical decision points, synthesizing complex information, framing alternatives, and ensuring stakeholders have the insights needed to make timely, informed decisions.
  • Participate in project assessments and ensure project scope and success criteria are clearly outlined.
  • Establish clear priorities among project activities and develop and manage project plans to meet deliverables.
  • Manage cross-functional project timeline and follow-up with project team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Provide cross-functional forecasting, tracking, reporting and oversight on project budget and expenditures.
  • Maintain documentation and provide data management for project deliverables; identify communication plans for knowledge sharing across functional areas and project teams.
  • Proactively identify changes in project scope and assure appropriate measures are taken to reassess and amend requirements, budget and timeline.
  • Manage project plan in Project Management (PM) software through lifecycle and maintain resource and financial allocations. Maintain documentation, provide data management, and conduct lessons learned at appropriate project
  • Create and deliver program review presentations to senior leadership.


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent experience plus demonstrated competence in project management. PMP certification desirable
  • 4-5 years' experience in project leadership roles


Preferred:
  • Critical thinking/problem-solving skills method
  • Extensive knowledge of and competency in project management methodology and processes, including planning tasks and allocating resources, risk management, working in teams, issues management, monitoring and reporting, and documentation
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to balance technical, operational, commercial, and organizational considerations when developing recommendations
  • Demonstrated ability to guide teams through ambiguity by creating structure, establishing clarity, evaluating options, and enabling progress despite evolving information, competing priorities, and uncertain paths forward.
  • Ability to plan and facilitate meetings.
  • Strong written and presentation skills; ability to communicate effectively with senior management.
  • Ability to negotiate consensus among diverse groups and influence the activities of others not in own reporting structure.
  • Personal integrity and courage to escalate issues about the project and to advocate for responsible solutions to management.

$99,300.00 - $198,700.00
