Currently, we are seeking a Senior Project Manager. This role supports a Navy customer in Lexington Park, MD.
Job Description and Responsibilities:The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting the transition of an emerging capability into a mature, sustainable program. This includes coordinating with sponsors, users, technical teams, and leadership while developing the acquisition and program management artifacts required to support capability growth and long-term sustainment.
The position requires strong project management, stakeholder engagement, acquisition support, requirements development, and program integration skills rather than technical cloud administration or infrastructure management expertise.
- Support maturation of emerging capabilities into sustainable acquisition programs.
- Coordinate with sponsors, user communities, technical teams, and leadership to define requirements and capability roadmaps.
- Develop, maintain, and staff acquisition documentation supporting program transition and growth.
- Facilitate Integrated Product Team (IPT) activities and stakeholder working groups.
- Track project schedules, risks, action items, and Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms).
- Develop executive briefings, decision papers, and program status reports.
- Support development of acquisition strategies, spend plans, cost estimates, and program documentation.
- Analyze program requirements, schedules, budgets, and risks to support informed decision making.
- Coordinate across engineering, logistics, contracting, cybersecurity, financial management, and operational stakeholders.
- Support alignment of capability development efforts with sponsor priorities and user community requirements.
- Monitor project execution and recommend corrective actions for cost, schedule, or performance issues.
- Support transition planning activities associated with capability growth and long-term sustainment.
Basic Requirements:• Experience supporting NAVAIR, NAWCAD, PMA offices, AIRWorks, or other Navy acquisition organizations.
• Experience supporting capability transition, technology maturation, or rapid acquisition initiatives.
• Experience developing acquisition documentation, Statements of Work (SOWs), spend plans, Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs), acquisition strategies, and program management artifacts.
• Experience facilitating IPTs, PMRs, technical reviews, and stakeholder working groups.
• Experience maintaining Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and tracking program execution metrics.
• Familiarity with Defense Acquisition System processes and Navy program management practices.
• Experience supporting sponsor engagement and user community coordination.
• Experience developing executive-level briefings and decision support materials.
Education Requirements: 10 years of relavant experience and a Bachelors Degree OR 14 years of relevant experience and an Associates Degree OR 16 years of experience and a High School Diploma
Security Clearance: Secret with ability to obtain TS (must be a US Citizen)
Telework and Travel: Hybrid. 2x per week on-site. The Customer and/or Company reserves the right to require return to office.
Contract: This position is supporting an active, funded contract.
