Position Specific Description

The Central Maintenance Planning Analyst is responsible for improving outage planning effectiveness through analytics, process improvement, automation, and organizational readiness. This role serves as the Planning organization's lead for data analysis, business process optimization, AI and technology adoption, training documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Working closely with planners, outage managers, site personnel, and leadership, this position identifies risks, removes roadblocks, automates manual processes, and develops data-driven solutions that improve outage readiness, planning efficiency, and execution performance across the fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analytics & Readiness
  • Analyze historical outage performance and identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and readiness metrics to support planning and leadership decision-making.
  • Monitor outage health, milestone compliance, material readiness, and critical path risks.
  • Provide predictive insights that improve planning accuracy, resource forecasts, budget development, and outage outcomes.


Process Improvement & Automation
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives that increase planning efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Identify and eliminate process barriers, inefficiencies, and recurring planning roadblocks.
  • Develop and implement automated solutions, reporting tools, and AI-enabled capabilities that reduce manual effort and improve data quality.
  • Evaluate and deploy emerging technologies that enhance outage planning, readiness, and execution.


Process Governance & Knowledge Management
  • Maintain and continuously improve planning processes, procedures, standards, and governance documentation.
  • Ensure planning workflows remain accurate, effective, standardized, and aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Create, update, and maintain training materials, job aids, process maps, and onboarding documentation.
  • Support implementation of process changes, system enhancements, and new planning tools through effective documentation and training.
  • Preserve organizational knowledge, best practices, and lessons learned through structured documentation and knowledge-sharing programs.


Strategic Support
  • Partner with Central Maintenance planners and stakeholders to resolve business challenges and improve performance.
  • Translate complex data into actionable recommendations for leadership.
  • Support special projects, organizational initiatives, and fleet-wide improvement efforts.


Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's degree, Business, Analytics, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
  • Experience in project controls, analytics, or related disciplines.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Power BI, AI, or similar analytics tools.


Preferred
  • Experience in power generation, utilities, maintenance, or outage planning.
  • Experience with AI, automation, predictive analytics, and process improvement methodologies.
  • Knowledge of SAP or similar enterprise systems.
  • Lean Six Sigma, Project Management, or Analytics certifications.

  • Creates and communicates presentation materials for report out and updates with various levels of internal and external stakeholders
  • Conducts external research and stays abreast of new developments or innovative advancements pertaining to the project
  • Provides coaching, leadership and direction to project team
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned


Required Qualifications
