Position Overview

A Senior Project Manager at JLL is responsible for leading and managing complex real estate and construction projects from initiation through completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and aligned with client objectives. This role requires extensive experience in project management, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders across diverse project types.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Project Leadership
  • Lead and motivate project team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring everyone understands their roles
  • Provide guidance and support to team members, helping them overcome challenges
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of projects and communicate effectively with clients

Project Planning and Execution
  • Develop project charters including scope, schedules, budgets, business justifications, and risk assessments for diverse real estate and construction projects
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals
  • Develop comprehensive project plans and work with partners and vendors for project scheduling needs
  • Proactively communicate project expectations to team members and clients in a timely manner

Stakeholder Management
  • Build rapport with client representatives and ensure the scope of the project and business forces affecting the project are fully understood
  • Review business needs, justification, scope, budget, and risks for assigned projects
  • Provide superior client service by providing objective recommendations
  • Act as liaison between client and contractors on an ongoing basis

Budget and Schedule Management
  • Estimate resources needed to achieve project goals
  • Track project milestones and deliverables
  • Provide progress reports and requirements documentation to team members
  • Monitor compliance with project management standard operating procedures

Risk and Quality Management
  • Identify and address areas of concern regarding potential risks surrounding the project, project logistical issues, budget, and scope
  • Ensure commissioning and client training
  • Implement best practices detailed in SOPs related to project lifecycle phases, stakeholder management, and change control


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Required Experience
  • 7+ years of expertise in real estate and construction program/process management
  • 7+ years of experience developing project charters (scope, schedules, budgets, business justifications, and risk assessments) for diverse real estate and construction projects
  • 5+ years of real estate and construction finance principles
  • Demonstrated high level of performance in project scope development and budgeting
  • Broad background of project type and size preferred

Technical Skills
  • Expert understanding of architectural and engineering plans
  • Expert understanding of building systems -- MEPFS and Architectural
  • Expertise in estimating software and benchmarking tools
  • Advanced knowledge of cost and schedule paradigms
  • Expertise and fluidity in Microsoft Office tools including Visio, Project, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Ability to read and understand CAD, Visio, and construction documents

Professional Skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead client engagements and advise senior executives via reports, written communications, and oral presentations
  • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to interact with executive-level, external, and internal clients
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate professionally
  • Ability to work collaboratively, independently, and through ambiguity to create structure and consensus
  • Track record of initiative, integrity, and good judgment

Specialized Knowledge
  • Understanding of change management and communications structures and planning
  • Ability to research, track, identify, and apply benchmark schedule and budget data for individual projects and/or programs
  • Capability of working conceptually and qualifying unknowns
  • Experience with infrastructure and large complex projects is strongly preferred


Education and Certifications

Required Education
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in accounting, business, architecture, engineering, or construction management is strongly preferred

Preferred Certifications
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) - strongly preferred
  • PgMP (Program Management Professional) - strongly preferred
  • Six Sigma designation - strongly preferred
  • AVIXA CTS - preferred for AV-related projects
  • LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) - common but not required

Additional Qualifications
  • Experience with JLL PDS and construction project/program management a plus
  • Ability to manage administrative functions of project management tools
  • Exhibits strong commitment to safety
  • Great attention to detail
  • Hospitality service delivery mindset

Estimated compensation for this position:

120,000.00 - 130,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
