The Senior Project Manager supports the regional Operation Managers by effectively managing the projects and the technicians assigned to them. They also serve as a point of contact for clients and are to provide technical assistance based on the projects they are assigned to manage.
Primary Responsibilities:- Participate in required meetings.
- Maintain a strong relationship with clients during and after project completion.
- Maintain professional licenses required to perform project tasks.
- Coordinate and maintain industrial hygiene equipment, sampling media and laboratory work based on project needs.
- Write and review technical reports and assist others in developing technical report writing skills.
- Mentor Health & Safety Technicians to develop their knowledge and experience.
- Participate in project scheduling and management of the Health & Safety Technicians.
- Communicate with Health & Safety Technicians to ensure projects are performed efficiently and work products are delivered promptly to clients.
- Utilize Navision for project management.
- Assist Health & Safety Technicians with travel arrangements.
- Perform field work (as needed) including exposure assessments, audits, client training, written program development, and other monitoring and testing tasks.
- Understand all Examinetics service offerings and be capable of discussing specifics with clients.
Job Requirements:Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, project management, engineering, or related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 5-7 years of progressive project management experience, including leadership of complex, multi-disciplinary projects and management of significant budgets.
- Senior project management or program management experience preferred.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations
- Certified Asbestos Inspector required.
- AHERA Management Planner, Asbestos Abatement Project Designer, Asbestos Air Sampling Professional, Asbestos Supervisor preferred.
- Lead Inspector certification required.
- Lead Risk Assessor, Lead Abatement Project Designer, EPA Certified Renovator preferred.
- ACAC CMC or similar recognized indoor environmental credential required.
- ACAC CIEC preferred.
- OSHA 30-hr Construction Safety training certification recommended.
Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Intermediate Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- High Skills: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
