Senior Project Manager to support our Advanced Energy Solutions (AES) Business Unit.

The Senior Project Manager (SPM) is accountable for end-to-end delivery of a $1B nuclear fuel facility from detailed design through construction, commissioning, and turnover to operations. This leader drives execution across safety, quality, schedule, cost, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder alignment while coordinating Owner, EPC/CM, subcontractors, vendors, regulators, and site operations. The SPM will establish and maintain a high-performing integrated project team and deliver a safe, compliant, operable facility that meets all technical and business requirements.

Project Leadership & Governance
  • Serve as the primary project execution leader and day-to-day integrator across Owner, NRC Licensing team, EPC/CM team, Engineering team, and key subcontractors.
  • Establish project governance, decision rights, reporting cadence, and escalation paths; lead executive steering updates.
  • Build and lead an integrated project team culture grounded in nuclear safety, accountability, and performance.
  • Maintain alignment between project objectives and operational readiness requirements (maintainability, staffing, training, spares, etc.).
  • Champion nuclear safety culture: stop-work authority, pre-job briefs, human performance tools, and strong hazard recognition.
  • Ensure construction execution complies with applicable nuclear QA and codes/standards (e.g., NQA-1 program, ASME, CSA/IEEE as applicable).
  • Own performance against baseline scope, cost, and schedule; maintain disciplined change control and forecasting.
  • Partner with project controls to implement robust EVM/earned progress, productivity tracking, trend management, and corrective action plans.
  • Drive look-ahead planning (2-6 week and 90-day horizons), pull planning, constraint management, and weekly work planning.

Construction Management & Field Execution:
  • Oversee constructability reviews, site logistics, temporary facilities, work packaging, and workface planning.
  • Ensure work packages are complete and executable: approved IFC drawings, permits, materials, QC hold points, ITPs, and test requirements.
  • Lead field coordination for civil/structural, mechanical, electrical, I&C, and specialty systems (HVAC, fire protection, critical utilities, glovebox or hot cell systems if applicable).
  • Direct subcontractor performance management: mobilization, productivity, quality, safety, and schedule recovery.
  • Coordinate regulatory deliverables and readiness activities with licensing/authorization basis teams and compliance organizations.
  • Manage community, local/state, utility, and internal stakeholder communications aligned to project milestones.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • 15+ years progressive experience managing complex industrial construction projects; 10+ years in regulated, high-hazard, or nuclear-related environments preferred.
  • Proven leadership delivering >$250M CapEx projects (owner, EPC, or CM) with strong cost/schedule outcomes; experience on >$500M-$1B programs strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in:
    • Contracting and execution strategies (EPC, CM-at-Risk, Design-Build, multi-prime).
    • Project controls (baseline, change control, forecasting, EVM/earned progress).
    • Nuclear/regulated QA practices (e.g., NQA-1 mindset, QA hold points, traceability).
    • Commissioning and turnover planning for complex systems.
  • Strong field leadership skills: coordination across multiple trades, high consequence safety, and schedule recovery.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Successful drug screening.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security or clearance badge.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with nuclear fuel cycle facilities, radiological facilities, enrichment/fabrication plants, or high-integrity process facilities.
  • Professional certifications: PMP, PE, CCM, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with:
