Job Description

Position Summary:

The Senior Project Engineer supports the execution of large-scale engineering and capital projects from engineering development through fabrication and construction. This role will initially be based in Paris, working closely with engineering contractors and project teams during the detailed engineering and design phase. The position will then transition to Houston, TX.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Act as a liaison between Paris and Houston project teams
  • Support detailed engineering activities in coordination with EPC contractors and internal engineering teams co-located with TEN in Paris.
  • Track engineering deliverables, action items, and interfaces across disciplines.
  • Participate in engineering reviews, design meetings, and technical clarifications to support the engineering director.
  • Support resolution of technical issues and coordination between engineering disciplines.
  • Coordinate between engineering, fabrication, quality, and construction teams to support resolution of commercial issues.
  • Support the transition of project knowledge, engineering intent, and open action items from the Paris engineering team to the Houston-based execution team.
  • Coordinate with Procurement on technical requisitions, vendor document reviews, and package readiness.
  • Review and support implementation of engineering changes, RFIs, deviations, and technical queries.
  • Support the Engineering Director with schedule tracking, issue resolution, and coordination of technical workstreams.
  • Participate in project planning, execution readiness reviews, and internal alignment meetings.
  • Interface with Procurement, Quality, and Construction teams to ensure alignment on technical requirements.
  • Travel to various vendor shops for resolution of quality or punch lists worldwide.
  • Ensure TEN critical issues in Paris whether technical or project related are being addressed by VP & Project Director.


Qualifications:

Education, Certificates, and Licenses:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, Electrical, or related discipline).

Experience:
  • 15+ years of related experience in an industrial setting (LNG, Refining, Petro Chemical, etc.) in engineering or operations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Willingness torelocate internationally (Paris) and subsequently transfer to Houston at a later date.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical and piping in a plant environment during engineering, construction, commissioning phases leading to operational readiness.
  • Acute sensitivity to safety issues and precautions in a hazardous operating environment.
  • Ability to apply written specifications to design, procurement, execution, and quality.
  • Project development, contracting, execution and closeout / transfer to operations.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities and effective / efficiency goal achievement.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of project cost estimating and scheduling techniques
  • Ability to manage people, and conflicts.
