DescriptionABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITYOkland Construction is seeking a Director of Project Cost Systems to serve as the enterprise expert and strategic leader for all cost management processes within Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC). In this role, you will shape how project financial information is captured, governed, and leveraged across the organization, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and real-time visibility for teams and executives.
You'll partner closely with Operations, Finance, Project Controls, VDC, Technology, and Executive Leadership to bridge construction operations with digital innovation. Your work will establish scalable, standardized cost workflows that improve project performance, strengthen forecasting, and support better decision-making.
This is a high-impact role responsible for driving adoption, continuous improvement, and system integration, ensuring ACC becomes the trusted source of project cost information across all business units.
YOUR DAY-TO-DAYACC Cost Management Leadership- Serve as the enterprise owner and subject matter expert for ACC Cost Management.
- Lead implementation, optimization, and future enhancements across all business units.
- Develop governance standards, workflows, permissions, templates, and best practices.
- Build standardized cost management processes that ensure consistent execution.
- Establish system roadmaps and prioritize enhancements based on business needs.
Business Process Ownership- Own and optimize end-to-end project cost workflows, including:
- Budgets
- Cost codes
- Contracts & commitments
- Change orders & potential change orders
- RFQs
- Forecasting & cost projections
- Cash flow
- Owner billing support
You will also- Standardize financial workflows across regions and project teams.
- Ensure alignment between Operations and Finance.
Financial Data & Reporting- Safeguard the integrity and quality of project cost data.
- Partner with Finance and BI teams to develop executive dashboards and reporting.
- Support Power BI reporting and data governance initiatives.
- Create KPIs that strengthen financial visibility and forecasting accuracy.
System Integration- Collaborate with ERP, accounting, estimating, scheduling, and business systems teams.
- Coordinate testing, validation, and deployment of new functionality.
- Support data migration and system upgrades.
Change Management & Adoption- Lead enterprise change management efforts for ACC Cost Management.
- Develop training programs, SOPs, documentation, and user resources.
- Coach project teams on best practices and measure system adoption.
Continuous Improvement- Evaluate new Autodesk functionality and industry best practices.
- Identify automation opportunities to reduce manual effort.
- Gather feedback from project teams and prioritize enhancements.
- Drive process improvements that elevate project financial outcomes.
YOU'RE READY FOR THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVERequired Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or related field.
- 8+ years of experience in construction operations, project controls, project management, finance systems, or construction technology.
- Deep expertise with Autodesk Construction Cloud, specifically Cost Management.
