Full Job Description
Provide comprehensive cost, schedule, baseline and EVMS Project Controls services on assigned SRNS Project Teams. Project Controls support services include executing the process responsibilities associated with organization, development, analysis, implementation and maintenance of program/project controls applications and measures necessary for decision making and monitoring of planning, scheduling, cost engineering and trend engineering established objectives. Services would include preparing schedules and performance monitoring status and management reports which identify variances in work execution strategy, provide timely feedback and recommend solutions to management to improve or mitigate problems
affecting cost, schedule or estimating issues throughout the life cycle of a project, program or other work activity. Project Controls services will be provided using SRNS processes and procedures. Programmatic guidance will be provided by SRNS.
Work Hours: A 40 hour work week is scheduled. SRS utilizes various work schedules; including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/l0s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and a 9/80s (9 hours/day, five days on week A and 4 days on week B). Work week excludes SRNS holidays. Each work day has a 30-minute lunch unpaid
Education:
• Master's degree in business, construction management, technical, or engineering, or a related area and five years of practical experience in project controls, including both cost and schedule control or related areas; or
• Bachelor's degree in business, construction management, technical, or engineering, or a related area and seven years of practical experience in project controls, including both cost and schedule control or related areas; or
• An associate's degree in business, construction management, technical, or engineering, or a related area and eleven years of practical experience in project controls, including both cost and schedule control or related areas; or
• A high school diploma and fifteen years of practical experience in project controls, including both cost and schedule control or related areas.
Experience/Skills:
Candidate must demonstrate proficient ability and knowledge in the development of cost and schedule baselines, milestone schedules, work breakdown structures, spend out plans to establish optimum conditions and effective utilization of resources and facilities, including equipment, manpower, and funding. Candidate must demonstrate strong knowledge of DOE 413 and Earned Value Management (EVM) requirements; Candidate must be able to demonstrate advanced proficiency in the use of Primavera P6 scheduling software and cost processing software (Cobra preferred). Ability to use Acumen Fuse, PeopleSoft, and Oracle's OBIEE is desirable. Candidate must be able to demonstrate their ability to use advanced functions and features of the Microsoft Office software suite. Candidate must have strong problem solving, analysis and interpersonal skills as well as oral and written communication skills. Candidate must have the ability to
walkdown and interface with personnel and systems in the field when required. Additional Experience Qualifications Primavera and COBRA experience required
Work Environment / Physical Demands:
Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Light to moderate lifting may be required for packages and other items, ability to walk short distances, may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
