Roles and Responsibilities

• Specialized Knowledge & Strategic Influence: Requires deep expertise in project financials, scheduling, and risk management within a highly regulated manufacturing or technology environment. Influences the development of the broader PMO strategy, including the optimization of resources and the formulation of policies that govern how project data is captured and reported across the enterprise.
• Business Challenge Navigation: Interprets complex internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve project delivery and financial transparency. Stays informed of industry trends in project governance and digital transformation to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of operational excellence.
• Complex Decision Making: Uses a high level of judgment to manage complex tasks involving operational, financial, and engineering data. Has the ability to assess the quality of information provided by various stakeholders, asking pertinent questions to ensure the integrity of project forecasts. Capable of construction and providing data-driven recommendations that support long-term business objectives.
• Analytical Problem Solving: Offers new solutions to complex problems outside of set parameters, particularly in areas of capacity modeling and financial risk mitigation. Uses multiple internal and external sources to provide an objective view of project health, ensuring that resource allocation is balanced against commercial commitments.
• Functional Leadership: Leads functional teams or high-impact projects, focusing on the delivery of transparent and predictive metrics. Communicates difficult concepts—such as financial variances or schedule constraints—and influences stakeholders to align on a unified path forward. Guides others to consider integrated points of view that prioritize the health of the overall business.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Engineering). A Master’s degree (MBA, MS in Finance or Accounting) is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in Project Controls, Finance, or Operations within a high-complexity, highly regulated manufacturing or technology environment (e.g., Nuclear, Aerospace, Defense, or Energy).
• Demonstrated experience managing the financial integrity of large-scale portfolios or contracts. This includes deep proficiency in cost accounting, margin analysis, forward-looking financial modeling, and the development of Estimates-at-Completion (EACs).
• Proven ability to distill complex operational and financial data into clear, actionable insights for senior executive leadership and external stakeholders.

Eligibility Requirements

• The position is based at the Wilmington, NC facility, or can be performed remotely within the United States.
• Remote candidates must be able to travel to Wilmington, NC, and/or other business locations up to 25% of the time to support critical project milestones, strategic planning, and operational needs.
• This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. government.
