The Senior Project Accountant prepares accurate project financial reports, month-end files, and management reporting packages. Partnering cross-functionally, this position keeps project leadership well-informed on financial performance, risks, and key achievements. The role demands excellent multitasking skills, a hands-on work style, and the ability to operate independently while effectively managing both routine and ad-hoc priorities with a sense of urgency when required.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and execute monthly project accounting close processes for multiple TAIT locations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare, maintain, and analyze project financial data to enhance visibility into project timelines, cash flow, and profit & loss projections.
- Generate comprehensive monthly financial reports, including variance analyses and intercompany reconciliations, in accordance with established deadlines.
- Operate independently while adhering to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and maintaining strict compliance with internal and external audit controls.
- Collaborate closely with the Project Management team to support budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, revenue recognition, and cost estimation activities.
- Manage accounting and costing systems to ensure accurate recording, billing, and reporting of project-related financial information within the ERP system.
- Demonstrate effective working relationships with colleagues and managers

- Attend meetings, seminars, and training sessions as required

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or similar background.
7+ years accounting experience.
Extensive knowledge and practical experience in project accounting, particularly in the area of revenue recognition.
Proven and demonstrated experience in successfully managing projects and deadlines.
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Excel.
Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently.
