  • Identify and coordinate training opportunities to enhance team capacity
  • Support the NADR Special Projects team as needed
  • Assist the NADR Response Center as required
  • Perform other assigned duties.

Samaritan's Purse is seeking a Senior Program Manager to join our team in North Wilkesboro, NC. You can be a part of a highly professional North American Disaster Relief team. In this role, you will provide leadership and oversight to Program Managers and Assistant Program Managers to ensure consistent execution of organizational standards and objectives. It is responsible for fostering professional growth through structured training, mentoring, and performance development. The role manages staffing capacity and availability to ensure adequate coverage for all response operations. It provides guidance and support throughout the assessment, start-up, and close-down phases of deployments.

In the role of Senior Program Manager, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and performance management for Program Managers and Assistant Program Managers.
  • Ensure consistency and quality across programs through standardized processes, communication, and adherence to organizational policies.
  • Manage staffing levels and scheduling to ensure adequate coverage across all response operations.
  • Train and support Program Managers and Assistant Program Managers throughout all stages of a deployment, including assessment, start-up, implementation and close down.
  • Identifies training and professional development needs; coordinates or delivers learning opportunities to build team capacity and promote collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Support the NADR Special Projects team as required, outside of deployment rotations.
  • Supports and serves on the NADR Response Center as required.
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree (B.A.) and three (3) to five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (resourceful and creative with solutions)
  • Highly effective communication skills (written and verbal) and public speaking skills
  • High degree of diplomacy and discretion
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing conditions
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to interact with all levels of employees and management
  • Rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals using certain degree of creativity and latitude
  • Ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining good working relationships
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • General knowledge of Excel and Word, and ability to learn in-house specialized computer applications
  • Ability to obtain a Class A restricted drivers license and a valid Department of Transportation Medical Card
  • Twelve credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies preferred, not required
