Full Job Description
Amazon's Last Mile Fleet Planning and Optimization team is looking for a Sr. Program Manager to drive the most efficient use of fleet. In this role, you'll leverage your analytical expertise to plan capacity and improve utilization, directly impacting our ability to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

You'll own the end-to-end fleet capacity planning program for Last Mile, building mechanisms that drive allocation decisions across diverse business units. This is a high-visibility role where your analytical rigor and program management expertise directly translate to customer delivery performance and cost efficiency at scale.

Key job responsibilities

- Own the fleet capacity planning program end-to-end: define methodology, build mechanisms, drive adoption across business units

- Design and implement decision-making frameworks that translate complex fleet utilization data into actionable allocation recommendations for senior leadership

- Lead cross-functional initiatives spanning Operations, Finance, Network Planning, and Technology to optimize fleet deployment against demand signals

- Build and maintain the metrics ecosystem for fleet utilization, identifying trends and driving corrective actions before they become customer-impacting

- Develop scalable mechanisms (WBRs, dashboards, escalation paths) that enable the organization to self-serve on capacity decisions

- Influence stakeholders across multiple business units to adopt standardized fleet planning approaches

You'll dive into fleet allocation plans, and engage with cross-functional teams to ensure our delivery network operates at peak performance. From analyzing trends to driving operations at scale, you'll be the critical link ensuring our fleet never becomes a capacity constraint and is utilized efficiently.

Amazon's Last Mile Fleet Planning and Optimization team ensures our delivery fleet operates at peak efficiency across the network. We own the capacity planning mechanisms that determine how fleet is allocated, utilized, and optimized - directly impacting millions of customer deliveries daily. Our work sits at the intersection of operations research, supply chain planning, and program management.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of program or project management experience

- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

- 5+ years of supply chain management (e.g. logistics, inventory turn management, forecasting, operations) experience, or Bachelor's degree

- Experience building and scaling operational mechanisms (WBRs, dashboards, escalation frameworks)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in fleet management, transportation, or last-mile logistics specifically

- Experience with capacity planning models or demand forecasting

- MBA or Master's degree in supply chain, operations research, or related quantitative field

- Experience influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority in a matrixed organization

- Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (QuickSight, Tableau)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
