Senior Program Manager
Position Summary:
- Work Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm
- 100% on-site
Our FDA-licensed, state-of-the-art CGMP manufacturing facility for Gene Therapies is located on the Harmans/BWI campus. The campus, featuring two manufacturing facilities is located 5 miles from the Baltimore Washington International (BWI) airport and 13 miles from our. The campus is close to Washington, DC9s I-270 Technology Corridor, top universities, and government agencies.
The Role:
- Lead and deliver program objectives within scope, timeline, budget, and quality expectations
- Ensure adherence to sound project management practices
- Balance multiple priorities with minimal supervision
- Manage cross-functional project teams
- Develop and maintain overall project plans and schedules (including tech transfer)
- Maintain collaborative, solution-focused communication with clients
- Provide regular project updates and progress reports
- Monitor milestones, budgets, and deliverables to ensure on-time, high-quality completion
- Troubleshoot issues and promote innovative, data-driven solutions
- Coach and mentor other program managers
- Strengthen program management capabilities across the organization
- Apply project management expertise along with knowledge of biological sciences and finance
- Drive programs forward and overcome obstacles independently
- Lead without direct authority and influence stakeholders
- Build strong cross-functional relationships and resolve conflicts effectively
- Communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external stakeholders
- Adapt within evolving organizational and program structures
- Perform other duties as assigned
The Candidate:
- Bachelor9s degree in Science or Engineering (required)
- Advanced degree (MS, MBA, PhD) preferred
- 5 67+ years of direct experience in contract development or manufacturing
- Proven leadership and management skills
- Working knowledge of: Biologics fermentation, Cell culture, Purification, Analytics (preferred)
- Experience in biologics (preferred)
- Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project)
The anticipated salary range for this position in Maryland is $118,720 to $163,240 plus annual bonus, when eligible. The final salary offered to a successful candidate may vary, and will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to: the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, skillset, education, business needs, etc. Catalent is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.
