Position Summary

Long Wave Inc is seeking a highly experienced Senior Product Support Manager to lead Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) planning, execution, and sustainment activities for advanced training systems and defense-related products. This role is responsible for developing, integrating, and managing lifecycle product support strategies that ensure operational readiness, reliability, and long-term sustainability for our customers.

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in the defense industry, a strong background in lifecycle logistics, and a proven ability to interface with engineering, manufacturing, program management, and U.S. Government customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development, execution, and management of comprehensive Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) strategies across the product lifecycle.
  • Oversee planning and analysis for logistics elements including:
    • Maintenance Planning
    • Supply Support
    • Technical Data & Publications
    • Support Equipment
    • Training & Training Support
    • Facilities Planning
    • Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation (PHS&T)
    • Reliability, Maintainability, & Availability (RMA)
    • Sustaining Engineering and Field Support
  • Manage logistics scope, cost, schedule, and performance within assigned programs.
  • Serve as the primary logistics interface to both internal stakeholders and external customers, including DoD program offices and prime contractors.
  • Lead Logistics Product Data (LPD) development and associated deliverables (LSA, LORA, FMECA, TIR, provisioning, etc.).
  • Support development of contract proposals, BOEs, and logistics-related cost estimates.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD, MIL-STD, GEIA, and customer requirements relevant to logistics support and sustainment.
  • Coordinate development and delivery of training materials, technical manuals, IETMs, and instructional content.
  • Drive sustainment readiness activities including sparing analysis, obsolescence management, and configuration control.
  • Support fielding activities, installation, deployment, and long-term support planning for delivered systems.
  • Lead and mentor logistics specialists, analysts, and support personnel as needed.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Engineering, Business, or related field.
    Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 8+ years of professional experience in Integrated Logistics Support, Product Support Management, or related defense logistics roles.
  • Strong understanding of DoD acquisition processes, sustainment phases, and applicable logistics standards (e.g., MIL-STD-1388, GEIA-STD-0007, MIL-HDBK-502).
  • Experience preparing and managing logistics deliverables in accordance with contract requirements.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex sustainment efforts.
  • Experience working with government customers, primes, or direct DoD programs.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, system specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Excellent communication, briefing, and customer engagement skills.
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Logistics, Systems Engineering, Program Management, or related field.
  • DAU/DAWIA certification in Life Cycle Logistics (Level II/III).
  • Active DoD Top Secret security clearance.
  • Experience supporting training systems, simulators, or defense hardware production.
  • Familiarity with LPD/LSAR tools and logistics databases.
  • Certified Product Support Manager (PSM) or equivalent credential.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and developing BOEs.
