  • Assess maintenance concepts, levels of repair, provisioning requirements, spare-parts needs, supportability risks, and lifecycle support impacts.
  • Develop and coordinate support-equipment requirements, designs, testing, production, deployment, and sustainment with engineering, production, logistics, and technical-data teams.
  • Provide mechanical engineering support for hardware and support-equipment design, modeling, drawings, materials, manufacturability, and production-readiness activities.
  • Conduct or lead material, component, and system failure analyses and coordinate corrective actions with production facilities, suppliers, OEMs, and Government stakeholders.
  • Evaluate Engineering Change Proposals, deviations, and waivers for impacts to LPD, maintenance, technical manuals, training, provisioning, support equipment, and system baselines.
  • Oversee Technical Data Packages, engineering drawings, technical manuals, provisioning data, Configuration Control Board support, and Functional or Physical Configuration Audit preparation.
  • Mentor engineering and logistics personnel and provide technical justification supporting critical spares, sustainment funding, and product-support decisions.

  • Mechanical engineering experience involving hardware design, modeling, engineering drawings, materials, support equipment, manufacturing, or production support.
  • Experience conducting failure analysis and developing technically supported corrective-action recommendations.
  • Extensive configuration-management experience, including ECPs, deviations, waivers, technical baselines, CCBs, and configuration audits.
  • Experience developing and reviewing Technical Data Packages, engineering drawings, technical manuals, and provisioning data.
  • Strong technical-writing, analytical, briefing, leadership, mentoring, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience:
  • Experience supporting the Department of Defense, Department of the Navy, NAVSEA, NSWC Crane, or an Army product-manager organization.
