Position Description: CGI is seeking a Senior Product Owner / Business Analyst to lead product strategy, backlog management, and business analysis activities supporting mortgage acquisition and secondary market platforms. This role serves as the bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring product initiatives align with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and customer needs.
This role is located at a client site in Reston, VA. A hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities: CGI is seeking a Senior Product Owner / Business Analyst to lead product strategy, backlog management, and business analysis activities supporting mortgage acquisition and secondary market platforms. This role serves as the bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring product initiatives align with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and customer needs.
The successful candidate will work closely with software engineering teams in an Agile environment to define, prioritize, and deliver product features while maintaining product integrity and operational stability. Responsibilities include managing product backlogs, leading discovery efforts, supporting cloud modernization initiatives, overseeing production issue triage, and driving stakeholder alignment across business and technology organizations.
This position requires deep expertise in mortgage acquisitions and secondary market operations, strong analytical capabilities, experience with AWS cloud technologies, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable technology solutions. The role also involves supporting customer adoption strategies, regulatory compliance initiatives, testing activities, and continuous product improvement through stakeholder and customer engagement.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: . 5+ years of Product Owner or Product Management experience
. 5+ years working within mortgage acquisitions, secondary market, or mortgage technology domains
. Experience supporting enterprise-scale Agile delivery programs and cloud transformation initiatives
. Deep knowledge of Single Family Acquisitions and Secondary Market mortgage operations
. Strong understanding of mortgage industry data standards including MISMO, ULDD, ULAD (1003), and UCD
. Experience performing data mapping, data analysis, and file format integrations
. Product Owner experience managing and prioritizing Agile product backlogs
. Hands-on experience working in AWS cloud environments, including cloud migration and modernization initiatives
. Strong understanding of Agile and Scaled Agile (SAFe) delivery methodologies
. Ability to facilitate product discovery, feature definition, and stakeholder alignment
. Experience supporting production issue triage, root cause analysis, and resolution tracking
. Strong business analysis and requirements gathering skills
. Ability to evaluate business processes, identify risks, and recommend improvements
. Experience working with cross-functional teams including engineering, architecture, business, operations, and customer stakeholders
. Knowledge of regulatory compliance considerations within mortgage and financial services environments
. Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to build consensus across diverse stakeholder groups
. Experience developing product documentation, training materials, user guides, and customer-facing communications
. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize data into actionable business insights
. Experience managing customer feedback and translating findings into product enhancements
Desired Skillset:
. Advanced degree (MBA or Master's) preferred
. Agile/Product certifications such as CSPO, SAFe POPM, SAFe Agilist, or equivalent are preferred
. AWS Cloud certifications are advantageous
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, or a related field required

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $95,800.00 - $136,400.00.
