Role SummaryWe are seeking a Senior Product Manager to support our client at the International Affairs Program in defining the future state of AI-enabled wildlife permitting, trade-data, conservation and knowledge-management capabilities.
The Senior Product Manager will work closely with Government program, technical, legal, scientific and data SMEs to define product vision, prioritize use cases, translate mission needs into build-ready requirements and guide modernization planning for the WARP and IDEAS platforms.
Responsibilities- Lead product discovery and modernization planning with USFWS DMA, DSA and technical stakeholders.
- Establish product vision, goals, priorities, roadmaps and measurable outcomes.
- Help identify and prioritize AI/GenAI and agentic use cases.
- Guide development of a comprehensive Product Requirements Document and technical specifications.
- Ensure business, scientific, data and technical requirements are translated into implementable product capabilities.
- Coordinate requirements across WARP, IDEAS, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB and related data products.
- Work with Business Analysts, Data Scientists and Government SMEs to prioritize workflows and acceptance criteria.
- Help define interfaces, APIs, data-access patterns and product dependencies.
- Ensure privacy, security, Section 508 and federal compliance considerations are incorporated into product requirements.
- Support value-stream optimization and identification of non-value-added process steps.
- Maintain alignment between mission objectives, user needs, technical architecture and AI capabilities.
Required Qualifications:- 8-12+ years of product management, digital modernization or technology-program experience.
- Experience managing complex enterprise or government technology/data products.
- Strong experience with product discovery, PRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria and roadmaps.
- Experience with AI/ML, GenAI, data products or intelligent workflow automation.
- Familiarity with AWS-based architectures.
- Understanding of relational and NoSQL systems, APIs and modern application architecture.
- Federal Government experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with permitting, case management, workflow or regulatory applications highly desirable.
- Familiarity with FISMA/NIST, Privacy Act, Section 508 and federal security requirements preferred.
- SharePoint modernization experience is useful because the RFQ evaluation instructions specifically mention SharePoint, although the SOO itself does not make SharePoint a core target platform.
