Commercial insurance servicing is still phone calls, email chains, and PDF forms. We're hiring a Senior Product Manager to replace that with an experience brokers and insureds want to use: modern UX, real AI chat that resolves requests end to end, and design that feels like the best of fintech rather than the median of insurance. You own the broker and insured experience, and you manage it through one number above all others: inbound servicing requests eliminated through graceful self-service and education over time.

This is not a roadmap-and-jira role. Product and engineering lanes are merging at MGT, and product talent operates fluidly across strategy, data, design, and engineering. PMs that succeed at MGT embrace end-to-end execution and lean into our comparative advantage: agility. You will write compelling PRDs and then execute, directly contributing code, analyzing data in our warehouse, and own results from concept through to post go live.

What You Own

1. The broker experience. Quote, bind, and servicing flows that are fast, self-explanatory, and beautiful. Own the design system and the product taste bar across every broker-facing surface.
2. Real AI chat. An assistant that resolves the top servicing requests (certificates, endorsements, billing, policy documents, coverage questions) end to end, not a FAQ bot that escalates everything to a human.
3. Servicing deflection through education. Design graceful redirects that teach brokers and insureds to self-serve. Track it by request type and cohort, and drive the curve down every quarter.
4. The insured experience. Extend the same bar to the small business owner: onboarding, documents, payments, and claims intake that don't require a broker in the loop for routine work.

What Great Looks Like

• Inbound servicing requests per policy are down materially on the top request types (we'll set the target together; 30-50% is the right ambition), and the deflection is graceful: brokers report feeling educated, not stonewalled.
• The AI assistant resolves a majority of certificate, endorsement, and billing requests without human handoff, with quality measured and trending up.
• You can show cohort curves of self-service adoption over time and explain what moved each one.
• You've personally shipped design-to-code on more than one surface.

Minimum Requirements

1. You have shipped meaningful work (beyond simple prototypes) with an AI engineering tool (Claude Code, Codex, Devin, etc.) and can show the commits.
2. You have 5+ years of experience at a firm that achieved scale, ideally InsureTech, FinTech, or Consulting.
3. You build things directly. Nobody is on an island at MGT, but everyone ships.

Ideal Candidates

1. Consumer-grade product taste, ideally from fintech. You've shipped experiences at a company where the first 30 seconds decide retention, you can articulate why a flow feels good or bad, and you bring data to back it up.
2. Design skills of your own. You were fluent in Figma, now you use an AI assisted design tool. You've taken your own designs to production.
3. You've shipped conversational AI that resolves, not deflects. You can talk about intent coverage, resolution rate, escalation design, and how you measured whether the chat was actually helping.
4. Metrics-driven servicing experience. You have owned a self-service or support-deflection number and moved it, and you know the difference between deflection and abandonment.
5. Two-sided empathy. You understand that the broker and the insured are different users with different jobs, and you've built for an intermediary before.
6. Growth stage experience. MGT is a small, high-accountability organization and that's a plus for you.
7. References from peer department managers (Engineering, Design, Ops/Servicing) that loved working with you.

Compensation

$190,000 - $300,000 annual base salary, plus bonus and equity.
