Pratt & Whitney, the industry leader in military and commercial jet propulsion, is seeking a driven, creative, and experienced Senior Product Definition / Drafter to join our North Berwick Engineering Center. Our North Berwick facility is directly responsible for designing and developing the most dependable jet propulsion products in the aviation industry. In this high-impact role, you will have the unique opportunity to create and maintain parametric solid design models and associated drawings supporting a wide variety of critical Pratt & Whitney Engine Programs.
What You Will Do:
- Author complex parametric 3D models and associated product definition files using Siemens NX, ensuring strict alignment with design intent and established Product Definition standard work.
- Produce precision part prints and digital models within Siemens NX, expertly applying specialized dimensioning techniques per part-family guidelines while actively balancing design intent with manufacturing constraints.
- Deeply understand, apply, and interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) in strict accordance with ASME Y14.5M-1994 standards.
- Create and manage comprehensive part print and engineering change (EC) release documentation utilizing Teamcenter / NXManager.
- Champion Model-Based Design (MBD) principles, utilizing approved enterprise tools to ensure all digital datasets are optimized for seamless downstream consumption by manufacturing and quality teams.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and 3 years prior relevant experience, or an Associate's degree in a related field and 7 years of prior relevant experience. Prior relevant experience in drafting.
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Proven experience within the aerospace industry.
- High proficiency with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) applying ASME Y14.5 standards.
- Hands-on modeling and product definition experience utilizing Siemens NX graphics software and Teamcenter.
- Exceptionally strong communication skills with a proven track record of effective cross-functional teamwork.

The North Berwick Engineering Center (NBEC) organization is responsible for engineering activities for hardware throughout the gas turbine including the Fan, Low Pressure Compressor (LPC), High Pressure Compressor (HPC), Combustor, Low Pressure Turbine, High Pressure turbine and Mechanical System modules across all Pratt & Whitney's military and commercial products. NBEC is co-located with Pratt & Whitney’s largest manufacturing facility. This specific opportunity is to join our Hot Section component designers Team.

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
