Description

SAIC is seeking a qualified, experienced Orals Slide Manager (Book Boss) with the expertise and demonstrated performance to manage and develop high-quality content for oral presentations, video proposals, and technical demonstrations for our Proposal Development Center. This is a hybrid opportunity and candidates must be in the Reston VA or surrounding area.

The Orals Slide Manager helps define the flow, structure, content layout, and messaging of the orals presentation, confirming compliance with solicitation requirements. The Orals Slide Manager works closely with the Orals Coach, who trains the team on effective presentation skills, including delivering messaging.

Specific responsibilities/requirements include:
  • Establish a schedule, working with the proposal manager, for orals development
  • Develop the presentation in collaboration with the proposal team
  • Apply industry best practices with attention to compliance
  • Provide a structured methodology and process for both the creative and management aspects of complex responses for Federal Government proposals
  • Lead and assist with slide development to include outlining and storyboarding, integrating capture intelligence, integrating win themes and strategies, graphic look/style development, and technical and substantive reviews
  • Help the speakers/writers develop draft slide content and layout
  • Assist in developing strategic messaging, impactful graphics, and outlines
  • Advise on conceptual graphics used to illustrate the presentation
  • Help team create the presentation iteratively and conduct regular wall walks to help progress slides
  • Lead and collaborate with the proposal manager to ensure oral presentation artifacts are prepared and available for review cycles
  • Facilitate Orals Color Reviews
  • Help draft talk tracks: Help presenters organize what to say and enable them to practice delivering key points that need to be made on each slide
  • Develop/gather questions for mock Q&A sessions with customer simulations to evaluate the team's ability to meet customer expectations
  • Willing to travel; willing to work surge hours

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree and 18 years of related experience. Masters and 16 years. 4+ additional years of directly related experience can be used in lieu of the degree.
  • 10+ years of demonstrated experience managing, writing, and developing orals on winning competitive Federal Government proposals in a defined proposal role
  • Candidates must be a US Citizen
  • Experienced in various communications vehicles such as Zoom, Google Meet, MS Teams
  • Experienced with preparing slides for virtual, live, and video presentation using any combination of the communication vehicles previously listed
  • Knowledge of the proposal development life cycle, and understanding of Shipley or other proposal development processes
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities to consistently deliver high-quality material
  • Ability to successfully execute multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to collaborate and work as a leader
  • Dynamic interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of management, and teams of varying sizes and technical abilities
  • Excellent work ethic and excellent organizational, written, visual, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel to SAIC HQ and/or Orals team presentation sites at key times

Desired Qualifications:
  • Understanding of the FAR, especially best-value aspects
  • Ability to coordinate off-site subcontractors and proposal teams
  • Familiarity with the use of proposal collaboration tools
  • Experience with FEDSIM/AAS procurements
  • Experience working large opportunities (above $1 billion)
  • Ability to conceptualize a total proposal solution

Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
