Summary:

Defines enterprise solution architecture direction across interdependent domains, translating long-term business and technology strategy into scalable, secure, resilient, and supportable solution approaches. Provides strategic leadership for multi-cloud architecture initiatives across Azure and AWS platforms, ensuring alignment to enterprise standards, security requirements, and business objectives. Guides the organization on the highest-complexity architecture decisions, setting standards, governance, and quality expectations that shape execution at enterprise scale. Partners closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to ensure technology investments are prioritized and delivered with a product ownership mindset focused on measurable business outcomes. Communicates technical strategy, tradeoffs, and decision agendas clearly with senior leaders, cross-functional stakeholders, and external parties as needed. Applies deep healthcare technology domain expertise to design solutions that support regulatory, operational, interoperability, security, and patient-centric business requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

Cloud Architecture & Strategy

  • Define and govern enterprise solution architectures across Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments, establishing standards, patterns, and best practices for scalability, security, reliability, and cost optimization.

  • Lead cloud modernization and transformation initiatives leveraging Azure and AWS native services, platform capabilities, and cloud governance frameworks.

Healthcare Technology Leadership

  • Apply deep knowledge of healthcare technology ecosystems, healthcare operations, interoperability standards, regulatory requirements, data privacy, security, and compliance considerations to solution design and architecture decisions.

  • Guide architecture decisions that support healthcare business capabilities, patient and provider experiences, clinical workflows, data exchange, analytics, and operational excellence.

Technical Product Ownership & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner closely with product managers, business leaders, and engineering teams to translate business strategies, customer needs, and operational challenges into technology roadmaps and enterprise solutions.

  • Demonstrate a technical product ownership mindset by balancing business value, technical feasibility, scalability, cost, risk, and delivery considerations while driving architecture decisions.

  • Facilitate collaboration across product, engineering, architecture, and business stakeholders to establish priorities, align roadmaps, and ensure successful solution outcomes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.

  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, solution architecture, cloud architecture, or related fields.

  • 8+ years of experience within a lead or principal position

  • Demonstrated experience designing, implementing, and governing enterprise-scale solutions across Microsoft Azure and AWS cloud platforms.

  • Proven experience partnering with business, product, and technology organizations to deliver strategic technology solutions with a technical product ownership and customer-centric mindset.

  • Significant experience within the healthcare technology industry, including healthcare applications, data platforms, interoperability, security, and regulatory requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred.

  • Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert) and AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional) preferred.

  • Experience supporting healthcare organizations, health systems, providers, payers, life sciences, MSOs, or related healthcare technology environments.

  • Certification in solution architecture, cloud architecture, enterprise architecture, or equivalent preferred.
