A Snapshot of Your Day

We are seeking a Senior Primary (Physical) Flexible Alternating Current Transmission System (FACTS)/Substations Engineer.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Developing electromechanical design criteria and conceptual layouts for FACTS devices including Syncon, STATCOM, and FSC projects and substation projects
  • Directing general arrangement, grounding, trench, and conduit drawings while considering electrical and mechanical parameters
  • Performing and reviewing electrical engineering calculations including cable ampacity, grounding, lightning, illumination, and auxiliary loads
  • Creating equipment specifications, bills of materials, and engineering execution plans aligned with project schedules
  • Supporting and leading 3D design efforts for proposals, pricing, and project execution while reviewing manufacturer documentation
  • Identifying and resolving technical issues, ensuring deliverables meet schedule targets, and supporting customer meetings with Marketing and Project teams


What You Bring
  • Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering; Professional Engineering license preferred (or availability and willingness to get it)
  • 7 or more years of experience with a focus on primary electrical design for FACTS and/or substations. Candidates with more experience can be considered for a higher level or vice-versa.
  • Experience with GIS/AIS; Knowledge on ANSI/IEEE standards, IEC standards knowledge is a plus.
  • Experience with equipment typically used in substation projects.
  • Familiar with AutoCAD and Revit. Siemens NX and Inventor are a plus.
  • Good communication skills; Fluent English Language
Travel, as needed (~20% domestically and internationally).
