The Policy and Program Services branch of the Ministry of Government Relations is seeking a talented and highly motivated individual to join the Legislation and Regulation unit as a Senior Policy Advisor.

The ideal candidate will develop innovative and strategic policy approaches to complex problems, making recommendations that align with ministry goals and address emerging and long-term trends in the municipal sector.

You will clearly communicate verbally and in writing with senior management, stakeholders, Cabinet committees, and others on issues that are often complex, technical or sensitive in nature. You will advise on and prepare discussion papers, reports, legislative and regulatory amendments, Orders in Council, Cabinet documents, briefings, and ministry correspondence .

Typically, the required knowledge and skills for this position will be attained by completing a graduate degree in a related field, such as public policy or administration, political science, planning, or law.
