Senior Platform Engineer (Multiple Positions)

Job Description Summary:

Support the development and maturity of our FinOps software application, working across a wide influence base including Application Engineering, SRE, Product, and Finance. Eliminate waste and automate optimization opportunities across Cloud Solutions. Collaborate with engineering teams to help design cost-effective services, identify rate reductions and cost avoidance opportunities. Develop infrastructure architecture changes. Assist with cloud cost forecasting processes across the business units for proposed/planned efforts driving cloud cost efficiency into the delivery lifecycle. Collaborate on the creation of KPls to measure effectiveness and conduct internal studies to identify areas for improvement in cloud financial operations. Hybrid in-office/remote position. This position does not require any national or international travel. This position does not require relocation to the company headquarter in Charlotte, NC. The role allows for work to be performed on a hybrid schedule of 3 days in office in Charlotte, NC and 2 days remotely.

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Information Technology, Engineering (any) or related field of study and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained. In lieu of a Master's degree in Information Technology, Engineering (any) or related field of study and two (2) years, the employer will also accept a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering (any) or related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained. Must have demonstrated experience with: Writing production code using Agile methodologies; Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code techniques; Git; Creating Continuous Integration builds and deployment automation (Cl/CD Pipelines); Building Cloud Native applications in a major public cloud; implementing observability, application monitoring, and log aggregation solutions; working with cross functional teams to provide DevOps inspired solutions; modern change management processes and optimizing bottlenecks; architecture frameworks across the Pillars of Reliability, Security, Cost Optimization, Operational Excellence, and Performance; Azure/ AWS Commitment Cost (Reservation, Saving plan and Commitment SKU); Azure DevOps Repos and Pipelines Expertise with provisioning resources in Azure with Terraform; containers and container orchestration (Azure Kubernetes Service [AKS]); and PowerShell or Python.

Primary Work Location:

1210 AvidXchange Lane, Charlotte, NC 28206. Various worksites: Hybrid in-office/remote position. This position does not require any national or international travel.
