Job Type: Full Time | Location: Dallas/Fort Worth | Department: Engineering | Reporting to: VP of Engineering | Work Location Type: #hybrid

IREN is seeking a Senior Piping Engineer to support the development of h yperscale data center projects in the Texas and Oklahoma region. This role provides technical leadership and governance for cooling and fluid distribution systems, including chilled water infrastructure and direct-to-chip (DLC) liquid cooling systems.

Job requirements

  • Mechanical and piping design reviews across all project phases, ensuring chilled water and DLC systems meet Owner standards for reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Partner with design consultants, contractors, and equipment vendors to resolve technical issues, evaluat ealternates, and proactively manage mechanical system risks.
  • E nsure compliance with applicable industry standards (ASME, ASTM, MSS, FSA, AWS, MFMA, SEI/ASCE) and verify proper incorporation into consultant specifications and contractor execution.
  • Participate in site inspections, review testing activities, and validate installation quality, materials compliance, and support/seismic systems.
  • Support system flushing, testing, and functional performance verification, and ensure complete, high-quality turnover documentation to operations.

Other important requirements:
  • Pre-employment screening, including background check and substance testing may be required according to company policies.
  • Must provide own steel-toed work boots; other PPE will be supplied.
  • Must be able to reliably commute to the work site daily or have plans to relocate before starting work.
