Full Job Description
Stoneridge, Inc. seeks Senior Perception Engineer in Novi, MI.
Duties: Architect conceptual designs for commercial vehicle perception systems, collaborating cross-functionally with Advanced Development and Hardware teams to define sensor placement, thermal constraints, and ECU requirements. Design and optimize multimodal ADAS features for commercial trucks by integrating inputs from camera, radar, LiDAR, and ultrasonic sensors to enhance perception accuracy and robustness. Develop, deploy, and debug real-time, safety-critical embedded software in C/C++ and Python on diverse SoCs and MCUs, including ARM Cortex, NVIDIA Jetson, and TI Jacinto. Configure and optimize low-level software environments, including RTOS, vendor SDKs, and IDEs, to ensure fault-tolerant operation of sensor-based perception systems. Implement and benchmark computer vision algorithms using OpenCV, OpenVX, and Vulkan for both machine and human vision pipelines on resource-constrained embedded platforms. Accelerate deep neural network inference for edge deployment using TensorRT, ONNX, and hardware-specific optimization techniques to meet real-time performance constraints. Engineer and execute the full lifecycle of sensor integration, including hardware bring-up, calibration, sensor fusion algorithm implementation, and ISP pipeline tuning for optimal image quality. Contribute to the development of software compliant with functional safety (ISO26262) and cybersecurity (ISO/SAE21434) standards within an agile framework using Git, JIRA, and CI/CD pipelines. Author comprehensive technical documentation, validation reports, and calibration procedures, while leading technical reviews and contributing to patent generation initiatives.
