You9ll partner closely with People & Culture Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Payroll and Benefits, and key stakeholders to ensure our people processes are efficient, compliant, and enhance our employee experience from onboarding to offboarding. This role is remote-first, with a preference for candidates who are able to work primarily within the Eastern Time Zone (ET).

This role does not provide visa sponsorship. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of hire and must not require employer sponsorship for a work visa (current or future).

  • Manage and maintain HRIS data integrity through running regular audits and corrective actions, while identifying areas for improvement and automation
  • Act as an escalation point for HRIS and P&C-owned systems troubleshooting, diagnosing data discrepancies, integration failures, and access issues in partnership with IT or vendors to resolve root causes
  • Support HRIS and P&C-owned systems for upgrades and new module rollouts through User Acceptance Testing and issue supporting documentation, while training P&C team members and managers on proper system use to reduce recurring Jira service desk tickets and maintain systems data integrity
  • Manage and generate complex people analytics reports and workflows for leadership and compliance purposes, while identifying and implementing automation of manual processes
  • Lead or support cross-functional projects; such as performance and compensation cycles, system updates and implementations , and policy changes.
  • Draft and update standard operating procedure documents, policy documents, and internal People Ops resources
  • Partner with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to federal, province/state, and local employment laws (ESA, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, etc.)
  • Act as an escalation point for complex employee relations questions, as appropriate, partnering with P&C BPs as needed
  • Manage employee requests for remote work abroad due diligence, and support company-sponsored immigration cases, and international relocations through coordinating with legal partners, tracking case status, and guiding employees through the visa and work authorization processes.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior People Operations team members
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive employee information

What You9ll Bring
  • 5+ years of experience in HR/People Operations, HRIS administration, or a related Generalist experience
  • Strong working knowledge of Canadian employment law and HR compliance requirements; USA experience is a strong plus
  • Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., Rippling, Workday, BambooHR, ADP, or similar)
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail
