About the JobThis is a full-time, temporary maternity coverage role that will last approx 5-6 months. You will report to the Manager, People Operations and take ownership of the full scope of a Senior People Operations Coordinator's responsibilities across the employee lifecycle - onboarding, leave administration, payroll coordination, equity/RSU support, and compliance - using well-documented, established processes. This role partners closely with other departments, and clearly communicates with candidates, employees and various vendors.
The US-based salary range for this position is $48.08 - $52.88 per hour. We take into consideration an individual's background and experience in determining final salary-therefore, base pay offered may vary considerably depending on geographic location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
What You'll Do- Own end-to-end new hire onboarding, including Day 1 structure, orientation coordination, and onboarding survey administration
- Coordinate with US and Canada/International payroll teams on new hire setup, employee changes, and compliance items
- Administer leaves of absence (LOA) from intake through return, including vendor coordination and payroll reconciliation for leave-related edge cases
- Support RSU grant administration by following documented workflows: cross-referencing employee data against offer letters, verifying vesting schedules, and preparing audit materials ahead of Board of Directors approval
- Complete I-9 and work authorization verification, including coordination with the Immigration team on CPT/OPT and related cases
- Maintain accurate, confidential employee records across HRIS and supporting systems
- Draft and manage employee-facing communications (Slack, email, internal memos) for program updates and policy changes
- Follow established, documented processes for recurring People Ops workflows; flag process gaps or breakdowns as they arise
- Provide ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support People Ops and leadership
What We're Looking For- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 3+ years of HR/People Ops experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides) and HRIS systems (ADP WFN preferred)
- Experience with leave administration and payroll coordination
- Excellent judgment handling confidential and sensitive information
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a white-glove customer service orientation
- Comfortable working independently in a remote-first environment, following documented processes with minimal oversight
