Position Overview:Reporting to the Plant Director, the Senior Operations Manager will oversee all production activities and results for a 100,000 sq. ft. facility operating three shifts, seven days a week, with 143 full-time employees, $160 million in gross sales, and $60 million in materials used annually.

Here's more of what you'll get to do:- Oversee daily planning, organization, quality, and production processes, ensuring material, equipment, and labor resources are available.
- Ensure products are manufactured correctly, cost-effectively, and on time, meeting specifications and quality requirements.
- Drive sustainable and continuous improvement of KPI performance while building a world class team.
- Coach and provide feedback to managers, supervisors, and team members on production practices.
- Design and implement plans for efficient use of materials and labor to meet manufacturing targets.
- Oversee hiring, orientation, and training of technical production employees to maintain a competent and motivated workforce.
- Champion Safety Culture; ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
- Address and provide corrective actions in alignment with Human Resources.
- Coordinate with department heads (QA, Shipping) to ensure top-quality finished products.
- Regulate work shifts to ensure proper workload distribution.
- Coordinate with Maintenance Manager for scheduled preventative maintenance of production equipment.
- Identify and address mechanical and procedural limitations affecting efficiency.
What we require:- Minimum 10 years of career progression within food manufacturing.
- Minimum 7 years of management level experience within food manufacturing.
- Strong project management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources to create performance-based training solutions.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Windows, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Knowledge of HACCP, SQF, FDA, and other food safety guidelines.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
