Job Description:

Maryland Environmental Service has an opening for a Senior Operations Manager within our Environmental Operations (EO) Group at the Midshore II Regional Landfill in Ridgely, Maryland. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing the daily operations of the assigned facility while ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations. The Senior Operations Manager also serves as the primary liaison between MES Headquarters and facility personnel, providing leadership, operational oversight, and strategic support.

Estimated Pay Range:

$77,226.24 - $106,186.08

Minimum Requirements:

Graduation from a standard high school or GED plus 7 years applicable experience and 4 years supervisory experience in field operations, recycling/solid waste, bio-solids management or construction activities.

OR

10 years of progressively responsive experience operating multiple types of heavy equipment or working in field operations applicable to the hiring facility. This experience must include a lead role in field operations, recycling/solid waste or construction activities. Accredited vocational school with a major in a related field for up to 2 years9 experience or 3 years9 experience with an applicable college degree.

Must have a valid driver's license with less than 5 points.
