Overview (Scope of Role)

Trinseo is seeking a hands-on Senior Operations Leader (Chemical Manufacturing) to lead the full operational performance of our 24x7 Louisville manufacturing site. This role oversees production, serving as a key partner to the plant leadership team to translate strategy into execution and operational performance.

This is a senior-level role requiring a proven leader who can drive results at scale, develop strong leadership teams, and operate effectively in a PSM specialty chemical plant.

Responsibilities

  • Own site performance across safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost
  • Lead and develop teams
  • Manage budgets, capital planning, and cost performance
  • Ensure regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and operational integrity
  • Partner cross-functionally across Quality, Engineering, EHS, Supply Chain, and HR
  • Drive continuous improvement
  • Champion safety, quality, and leadership culture
  • Work with maintenance to maximize on-stream time / capacity
  • Lead root cause analysis to resolve process-related deviations and problems.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline. Technical education in relevant engineering/science disciplines.
  • 5-10+ years of manufacturing experience in specialty chemical, pharmaceutical, or similarly regulated process manufacturing environments.
  • Experience leading multiple teams/functions with budget ownership
  • Union experience preferred
  • Proven ability to develop leaders, manage complexity, and drive performance
