Full Job Description
MTSI is seeking a Senior Operations Analyst & Field Lead to support a key joint development program delivering advanced warfighting tools, technologies, and operational integration across the Department of Defense. The role blends senior-level operational expertise with hands-on field support, operator training, system troubleshooting, and technology transition activities. The individual will serve as a primary operational and technical interface between development teams, program leadership, and warfighters throughout daily operations, fielding events, and constructive, virtual, and live exercises. Heavy travel is required

Responsibilities
  • Provide senior military operations analysis and subject matter expertise in one or more warfare areas or domains. Analyze U.S. and adversary concepts of operations, tactics, techniques, and procedures to inform system development, capability assessment, and operational employment.
  • Serve as a technical and operational advisor to program managers, development teams, and DoD stakeholders for the evaluation, transition, and fielding of advanced warfighting tools and technologies.
  • Assess how emerging systems and software capabilities support military operations, command and control processes, fires execution, and current or future Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures.
  • Provide on-site operational and technical support during daily operations, exercises, demonstrations, integration events, and field experimentation.
  • Train operators and military staff on advanced warfighting software, hardware, and supporting systems to ensure mission readiness and effective operational employment.
  • Serve as the primary field interface between warfighters, technical program managers, software developers, and system engineers.
  • Support system configuration, operator workflow development, and user adoption during technology transition and fielding efforts.
  • Provide real-time troubleshooting during operational use, exercises, demonstrations, and experimentation events.
  • Coordinate with technical experts, software developers, and system engineers to resolve hardware, software, network, and configuration issues.
  • Support routine maintenance, emergency troubleshooting, and sustainment activities to ensure systems remain mission-ready.
  • Evaluate system performance and operational effectiveness in support of military staff processes and current TTPs.
  • Identify operational gaps, technical limitations, workflow issues, and opportunities to improve system employment in high-stakes operational environments.


COCOM LNO Duties
  • Serve as a forward-deployed liaison officer (LNO) to designated Combatant Command or field sites, acting as the program's on-site representative for operational coordination, user engagement, and system integration.
  • Facilitate communication between program leadership, warfighters, and technical teams to ensure operational requirements, system issues, and emerging needs are accurately captured and rapidly addressed.
  • Support planning, execution, and assessment of operational events, readiness activities, experimentation, and technology transition efforts occurring at assigned commands or sites.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance, troubleshooting, training, and workflow support to operators employing advanced warfighting tools and technologies in real-world or exercise environments.


Required Experience
  • 15+ years of military experience with O-5 command and/or Operational Fleet Staff (3-star) assignments.
  • Experience supporting or employing advanced joint C2 and fires-related systems such as JFN and/or CJADC2
  • Operational experience in a warfighting role within one or more warfare areas, with demonstrated proficiency in operational and technical analysis of U.S. and adversary CONOPS and TTPs.
  • 5+ years of experience working in a multi-level security environment.
  • Experience leading and managing teams to solve complex technical, management, and administrative challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct research and analysis using incomplete information, develop clear analytic products, and present results effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Strong documentation, writing, and reporting skills.
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to take initiative, work independently, and elevate issues appropriately.
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain deadline punctuality in high-pressure situations.

The pay range for this position in is $150,000/year to $200,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors. MTSI also offers a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
