How you'll contribute

A Senior Nursing Officer (RN) who excels in this role:

• Assists the Market Chief Nursing Officer in providing operational and clinical leadership for nursing services. 

• Supports the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care by ensuring nursing practice standards, clinical outcomes, patient safety initiatives, and workforce engagement efforts align with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements. 

• Works collaboratively with the Market Chief Nursing Officer, medical staff, and hospital leadership.

• Drives excellence in nursing practice, quality improvement, team performance, and patient experience while advancing the hospital’s strategic goals.

• In partnership with the Market Chief Nursing Officer, the Senior Nurse Officer helps plan, organize, direct, and evaluate the delivery of nursing services in accordance with the American Nurses Association (ANA) Scope and Standards of Practice for Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing and applicable regulatory standards.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school. Additional requirements include:

• Two years of clinical leadership experience and/or psychiatric/mental health field required. 

• Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree in business administration, or related health science field from an accredited school preferred.  

• Nurse Executive Board Certified (NC-BC), Certified in Executive Nursing Practice (CENP), or Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse (PMH-BC) certification preferred.

• CPR certification is required within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.

• De-escalation certification is required within 30 days of employment and prior to any patient contact.
