Senior Network AdministratorHill Air Force BaseOgden, UtahHX5 is currently seeking a qualified Senior Network Administrator in support of the Training Division (AFLCMC/WNR) at Hill Air Force Base, Utah.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Administer and maintain LAN and WAN systems, including network security across classified and unclassified environments.
- Provide secure communication venues for product teams to discuss sensitive requirements and designs.
- Support assessment, development, and sustainment of telecommunications infrastructure including phones, videoconferencing, and messaging systems.
- Assist with development of web-based Information Technology Equipment Management systems and custom Government software applications.
- Perform Virtual Machine Ware (VM Ware) server administration, including virtualization and high availability environments.
- Provide help desk support, managing IT trouble tickets and user access to Government systems such as ABSS, CPARs, and CAS.
- Install and maintain communications cabling including CAT5 and fiber infrastructure.
- Develop and produce documentation and artifacts required to certify unclassified and classified network systems; maintain, manage, and assist with development of documentation required for DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) or Risk Management Framework (RMF) certification for Unclassified, Classified and higher infrastructure.
- Conduct system security reviews of new designs and software to identify risks and vulnerabilities.
- Integrate new technologies and provide recommendations for infrastructure improvements.
- Analyze system usage, troubleshoot IT infrastructure issues, and implement upgrades to improve reliability.
- Support Air Force network interfaces to ensure availability and integrity of mission-critical systems.
Education and Experience:Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience:
- Master's or Doctorate Degree in a related field and at least ten (10) years of directly related experience, five (5) years of which must be in the DoD
- OR Bachelor's Degree in a related field and twelve (12) years of directly related experience, five (5) years of which must be in the DoD
- OR 15 years of directly related experience with proper certifications, eight (8) years of which must be in the DoD.
- Must have a current DoD 8570.01-M Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification.
- Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.
Other Position Requirements:- Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
- Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Must be able to travel, including air travel.
