Full Job Description
  • Senior Mine Supervisor to join our Bell Creek Mine in Timmins, ON., on a full-time basis. The schedule for this position is 5-5-4 rotation, days and nights; 12-hour shifts
    Compensation: This position offers a salary range of $115,000- $130,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience.
    Vacancy Status: This is an existing vacancy. The successful candidate may begin as soon as possible.
    Please note that this role requires relocation to the Timmins area and is not a camp-based position.
    The role of the Senior Mine Supervisor is responsible for monitoring daily KPI's and implement changes to ensure safety, production and cost targets are met. You will oversee daily logbook(s) and electronic information for accuracy and ensure comprehensiveness. Additionally, it is your mandate to ensure that site inspections of work headings are carried out while ensuring the Ground conduct standards and audits be followed as prescribed to and required with eCompliance. You will direct mine operations through front line supervisors reporting to you and work closely with the general foremen on daily operational decisions. You will be responsible for the health and safety of all personnel and contractors in your charge and ensure that all safety incidents are thoroughly investigated, and recommendations are implemented promptly and without prejudice. Additionally, when the Mine General Foreman (Captain) is absent you would fill in this role and therefore would be responsible for the day-to-day scheduling and control of the mine site overall activities. You are expected to demonstrate with consistency all LSG core values in Health and Safety and follow the Environment Code of Conduct of Lake Shore Gold, as well as any other duties as assigned.
    Reporting to the Mine General Foreman.
