Senior Mechanical Engineer within our
Property & Buildings M&E team, you will lead complex HVAC and plumbing designs, influence multidisciplinary project outcomes, and mentor the next generation of engineers-while working on some of the most technically advanced facilities in Canada.
This role is based in
Thornhill or Downtown Toronto.
Your Impact- Lead the mechanical design of HVAC, heating/cooling plants, plumbing, and fire protection systems for new and retrofit projects.
- Deliver high-quality technical reports, drawings, and specifications aligned with codes and client standards.
- Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
- Coordinate seamlessly with structural, electrical, architectural, and offshore design teams.
- Review and approve mechanical designs to ensure quality, constructability, and performance.
- Build trusted client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives.
The Skills That Set You Apart- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years of consulting experience in building systems design.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PEO) in Ontario.
- Advanced expertise in HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for complex facilities.
- Minimum 5 years' experience delivering Data Centre or Science / Laboratory / Pharmaceutical projects in Canada.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary mechanical design teams.
- Strong proficiency in Revit, IES, and HAP or equivalent mechanical design tools.
- Solid understanding of applicable codes, standards, and sustainable design principles (LEED an asset).
- Excellent communication skills and comfort collaborating with both local and offshore teams.

$104,100 - $138,000MB & ON:
$95,000 - $130,800NB, NL, NS, PE & QC:
