Job DescriptionLead exploration, prototyping, maturing and implementation of new technologies into functional medium volume prototypes to validate technical and product level functionality, use cases and tech maturity. Work alongside a diverse and expert XFN team consisting of EE, FW/SW, Audio, Optical engineers.
Responsibilities- Lead technology development projects through creation of functional prototypes, development of test methods
- Support RnD projects (NTI and NPI) through the design of systems and test vehicles for new technology introduction studies and technology development.
- Design product components and systems for consumer electronics
- Design electromechanical and optomechanical systems for device testing and validation
- Develop and implement test methods for design validation
- Contribute to creation of technical specifications and product definition.
- Work closely with XFN team consisting of EE, FW/SW/, Audio, Optical, REL, MfgEng
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and/or equivalent industry experience
- 5+ years of industry experience in mechanical design, with demonstrated track record of shipping high-volume commercial products and/or designing complex electromechanical assemblies in a research/prototype environment
- Demonstrated experience leading the design of complex assemblies and systems from concept to production
- Expertise using NX/Teamcenter as a primary CAD software
- Expertise in 3D/2D CAD, DFM/DFA, GD&T, material properties, and high-volume manufacturing techniques
Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Range $75/hr - $85/hr.
