Key Responsibilities:- Plans, schedules and coordinates detailed phases of a project.
- Must 3D model at an expert level, complex housings in 5 axes.
- Must be able to perform advanced level linear and radial stackup studies
- Designs may be one on a more complex level - not only designing LRUs but also working on complete systems with all elements of the life cycle process in accordance with the PLC process
- Ability to support customer design reviews
Key Skills:- Ability to understand and apply Geometric Dimension & Tolerancing or International equivalent at an expert level
- Expert CAD skills in CAD/ PLM Softwares. May have ability to do low level FEA, CFD using CAD tools
- Advanced understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes and how to optimize designs based on competing inputs relating to each to achieve the best possible design for the enterprise
- An understanding of fundamental engineering principles (heat transfer, fluid mechanics, material strength).
- Demonstrated commitment to quality and professionalism. Ability to identify continuous improvement activities to improve efficiencies or work.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization and customers.
