Discover your exciting role

Exentec is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Designer in Nampa, ID, to support the design of Point-of-Use gas abatement systems for the semiconductor industry. In this role, you will provide detailed mechanical and electrical design support for both internal and external customer projects. You will create high-quality models and drawings using SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and standard office tools, while collaborating closely with engineers, customers, and project teams.

Explore your tasks and responsibilities

  • Maintain strong communication within the Engineering organization and with cross-functional teams, customers, and project stakeholders.
  • Design and draft complete, accurate, and legible working models and drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD/DraftSight.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams to align with design schedules and documentation requirements.
  • Interface with customer coordinators, engineers, and end users to provide manufacturing and installation drawings.
  • Collaborate continuously with engineers and designers to support project engineering and design needs.
  • Make informed decisions and raise questions during construction to mitigate unanticipated design-related changes, following established management-of-change procedures.
  • Organize and maintain files and drawings for manufacturing release and record-keeping, using both hard-copy and digital systems.
  • Ensure all designs support safe installation and comply with safety requirements.
  • Contribute to a fair, productive, and team-oriented work environment.
  • Interact professionally with customers and respond promptly and honestly to requests.
  • Adhere to and support defined project budgets.
  • Participate in project management activities as required.
  • Prioritize and schedule workload effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization.

  • AAS degree in design, technical sciences, or engineering.
  • Equivalent mechanical or electrical experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 5 years of comparable mechanical design experience.

  • In-depth knowledge of SolidWorks (required).
