Minimed is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team and make an immediate impact.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

Full-time on-site role in Northridge, CA
  • Researches, plans, designs, verifies, validates and develops mechanical and/or electromechanical products and systems, such as metals, instruments, controls, plastics, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, resonance, hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy.
  • Recommends various technology options or approaches for system, processes, facility or program improvements in terms of safety, performance, efficiency or costs.
  • May be responsible for the transfer from R&D to manufacturing.


Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Fixture design and deployment experience
  • Solid Works / CAD Modeling
  • Ability to travel 20 - 30% domestic and international

  • Ability to plan and execute with speed and accuracy
  • Statistical analysis knowledge
  • Project Management experience
  • Experience with mechanical assembly equipment such as staking, adhesive dispense, electrical functional test equipment
  • Past equipment validation or process validation experience (DOE, Process development, IQ, OQ, PQ)

Benefits & Compensation

MiniMed offers a competitive salary and flexible benefits package

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$87,000.00 - $149,000.00

For roles located in California, Seattle WA, Washington DC, Boston MA, and New York City, the salary range is $97,000 - $165,000 USD.

Actual compensation may vary based on factors including experience, education, certifications, skills, market conditions, internal equity, and geographic location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Short Term Incentive (STI).
