Opportunity Overview

As a Senior Materials Planner, you will play a critical role in supporting Teradyne's supply chain performance by identifying, communicating, and resolving supplier shortages that may impact revenue targets, customer commitments, and inventory objectives. This role partners closely with suppliers, EMS partners, Revenue Operations, Demand Management, and Planning to align on recovery plans, close material gaps, and drive timely decision-making across cross-functional teams.

  • Identify and resolve supplier shortages or misalignments that could impact revenue targets and inventory objectives.
  • Communicate daily with suppliers, EMS partners, Revenue Operations, Demand Management, and Planning to assess critical issues and align on resolution plans.
  • Lead supplier recovery discussions through resolution, including tracking supplier commits, recovery plans, and gap closure activities.
  • Participate in weekly stakeholder and KBL escalation meetings to provide updates, flag risks, and drive alignment.
  • Drive closure of shortage-related action items and escalate issues as needed to support business priorities.
  • Analyze MRP inputs, including revenue, upside, buffer, yields, and capacity, and present trade-offs to address material shortages.

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5-10 years of professional experience in supply chain, purchasing, demand planning, procurement, or project management.
  • Strong ability to analyze supply chain data, cost reduction opportunities, and operational metrics to improve business outcomes.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, macros, and data analysis.
  • Experience using MRP/ERP systems for planning and procurement activities.
  • Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau; Rapid Response, Kinaxis, or Maestro experience preferred.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong attention to detail.
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across organizational levels.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently while solving complex problems.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, approximately 10%, to other Teradyne sites and subcontractors.

Compensation:
The base salary range for this role is $76,900-$123,100. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.

Incentive Plan: This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
