Full Job Description
Gold Bond Building Products, LLC has an immediate opening for a Senior MMDP (Manufacturing Management Development Program) -Production Management candidate. The MMDP position reports to the Plant Manager. (Onsite at any US Plant location)

JOB SUMMARY:

This position is designed to fast-track experienced manufacturing professionals into plant management roles. This program is tailored for seasoned candidates with extensive experience in manufacturing management, aiming to introduce them to the drywall manufacturing process and Gold Bond plant systems to allow them to better utilize their manufacturing management leadership skills.

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (not all inclusive):

  • Supervise the 24/7 operations of production lines and related plant operations

  • Ensure a safe working environment through effective safety training and inspections

  • Actively monitor shift activities for quality, process, maintenance and personnel issues

  • Manage department labor, productivity, and maintenance budgets to meet cost goals

  • Motivate personnel in a manner that effectively promotes good morale, housekeeping, and high productivity.

  • Responsible for accurate production reporting and raw material inventories

  • Conduct and evaluate testing processes to improve product consistency and quality

  • Investigate quality complaints and implement corrective action

  • Develop and implement department Preventative Maintenance program to reduce machine downtime and repair costs

  • Serve on plant committees as determined by Plant Manager

  • Perform duties of Department Manager in his/her absence

  • Performance indicator responsibilities include:

  • Safety: TCIR and LTIR of 0

  • Percent defective

  • Machine efficiency

  • Unplanned downtime

  • PM completion %

  • Repair costs

  • Inventory Turns

  • Process and product specification compliance

  • SAP - Will be responsible for checking production and downtime entries s as well as assisting with scheduling production and making any necessary adjustments

  • Cycle counting - responsible for monthly or sooner if needed cycle counts of critical items and then responsible for investigating and correcting any discrepancies

  • Other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree required with training in a science/engineering discipline preferred.

  • Minimum of 8 years in manufacturing with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

  • Minimum of 3 years as a manufacturing department manager with safety, quality, productivity, cost, and capital responsibility.

  • Experience in manufacturing management, quality control, or research and development with a demonstrated record of growth and achievement

  • Six Sigma certification a plus

  • Strong mechanical ability and problem-solving skills

  • Strong organizational skills to conduct training sessions on various safety and operational topics.

  • Excellent supervisory and communication skills; ability to effectively communicate throughout all levels of the organization

  • Ability to enforce all plant safety and productivity goals, including plant policies/procedures

  • Willingness and ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities, sometimes involving stressful work environment

  • Ability to develop staff to maintain successful operations as business levels grow

  • Willingness to add new responsibilities and relocate for future assignments


Competitive Salary, with a general salary range of $96,336.00 to $120,420.00, or higher depending on education and experience. (Geographical Wage Premium eligibility for California Residents)
