SLB is seeking a motivated Senior Manufacturing Engineer to support our Data Center infrastructure solutions business.
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer at SLB is a technical leader responsible for optimizing manufacturing systems, driving operational excellence, and leading complex process improvement initiatives across production operations. This role serves as a subject matter expert in manufacturing engineering, Lean Six Sigma, and production system design. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer independently leads strategic projects, mentors junior engineers, and partners cross-functionally to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary manufacturing engineering resource for assigned value streams and production areas.
- Lead resolution of complex manufacturing, quality, and productivity challenges through structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Lead cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Six Sigma tools including Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, standardized work, line balancing, pull systems, and cellular manufacturing.
- Perform advanced capacity modeling, simulation analysis, and production optimization studies.
- Identify and eliminate manufacturing bottlenecks to maximize throughput and operational efficiency.
- Develop business cases and lead implementation of process, equipment, automation, and technology investments.
- Define manufacturing standards and ensure consistent implementation across operations.
- Lead new product introductions, process transfers, and major operational changes.
- Analyze operational performance data and establish KPI dashboards to drive data-based decision making.
- Mentor and develop Manufacturing Engineers, technicians, and operational personnel.
- Lead root cause investigations for recurring quality, delivery, and process issues.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Technology, Product Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality organizations to drive strategic improvement initiatives.
- Champion digital manufacturing initiatives utilizing SAP, Power BI, Power Apps, automation tools, and advanced analytics.
- Influence site manufacturing strategy through long-term capacity planning and operational roadmap development.
Qualifications And Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline.
- 8+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a complex manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading plant-wide process improvement initiatives.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing systems, capacity planning, process design, and production optimization.
- Proven experience applying Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience leading cross-functional projects and influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Experience with manufacturing simulation software and capacity modeling tools.
- Advanced SAP ERP/MRP proficiency.
- Power BI, Power Apps, and process automation experience.
- AutoCAD or facility layout design experience.
- Demonstrated success leading Kaizen events and continuous improvement programs.
- Experience mentoring and developing engineering talent.
- Experience supporting automation, Industry 4.0, or digital manufacturing initiatives.
