- Design the WW import product compliance strategy for the organization creating a clear vision for the team and driving delivery against it
- Drive North America import product compliance strategy and operations with the local team
- Maintain working knowledge of regulatory developments and policies impacting products worldwide, but particularly in North America
- Work cross-functionally with internal and external partners to deliver best-in-class compliance controls
- Design and monitor key compliance and operational metrics
- Utilize strong judgement and data in prioritizing and balancing risk management needs
- Exhibit leadership and develop team members to meet a high bar in delivering the strategy and succeed in their career goals
- Leverage AI and tech to scale programs efficiently
About the team
Amazon's Global Trade Services (GTS) team creates scalable risk management and technology programs to enable cross-border expansion in compliance with import, export and product compliance regulations. We leverage subject matter expertise, risk management, data and technology to guide Amazon's retail and innovation businesses through the complexities of international trade.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of risk management, audit, legal, compliance or related field work including engaging with external stakeholders experience
- 7+ years of team management with 5 or more direct reports experience
- Experience working within a global company, with multi-country responsibilities
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience implementing scalable compliance solutions (technology, procedures, processes, etc.) in a regulated environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of International Organization for Standardization (ISO), International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), or regulatory requirements or standards
- Master's degree or certification in regulatory compliance, product safety, or similar
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
