Full Job Description
Position Summary...
Catalog Intelligent Solutions is responsible for turning Walmart's product data into practical "intelligence" that powers how we buy, move, and present items at scale. We sit between Merchandising, Supply Chain, Compliance, and Technology, designing shared services and platforms that multiple products and platforms rely on. Within this group, this role shapes the common decision platforms that teams across Walmart use to turn their rules and models into standardized item-level classifications and actions.

What you'll do...
Location: Bentonville, AR (In-person)
Organization: Merchandising Transformation - Catalog Solutions

About the role
This role sits at the intersection of business outcomes and the teams building Catalog Solutions-partnering with stakeholders across supply chain, stores, compliance, and merchandising, while also working closely with internal Catalog teams and innovators. Your job is to shape what we build next, why it matters, how it connects to existing capabilities, and how it shows value. This is not a traditional TPM role. You're also not here to write architecture or manage a backlog of tickets. You're here to drive a clear strategy for how we route use cases and build solutions that get adopted, reduce friction, and deliver measurable results.

What you'll do
  • Serve as a key point of connection between stakeholder teams (e.g., supply chain, stores, merchandising) and internal build teams (Catalog engineering, data partners, innovation pods).
  • Translate stakeholder problems into clear solution shapes: what needs to exist, what "good" looks like, what must be true for adoption, and what we will measure.
  • Shape a strategy for how Catalog solutions should be built and delivered across multiple efforts-so the portfolio moves in one direction and produces reusable outcomes.
  • Drive value realization: define success measures up front (coverage, quality, adoption, and business impact) and ensure teams can show progress with credible metrics.
  • Identify where overlapping efforts are creating duplicated work or conflicting outputs; drive alignment and a practical path to a single approach.
  • Communicate progress to leadership in a decision-ready way: what's working, what's at risk, what tradeoffs exist, and what decisions are needed.

You'll sweep us off our feet if you...
  • Have led cross-functional work where success required both building the right thing and getting it adopted.
  • Can take ambiguous stakeholder needs and turn them into clear requirements, success measures, and an executable plan.
  • Are comfortable operating across internal builders and external stakeholders-and can keep everyone aligned without relying on org-chart authority.
  • Have strong analytical instincts and can define metrics that hold up in an exec review (not vanity metrics).
  • Can tell a crisp story: what we built, why it matters, what changed, and what's next.
  • Have enough technical fluency to pressure-test assumptions and edge cases, even if you're not writing production code.

Preferred qualifications
  • Experience with large-scale product, catalog, or operational data.
  • Experience in supply chain, stores, transportation, trade, compliance-adjacent programs, or other operational domains where data quality and consistency matter.
  • Experience guiding a portfolio of initiatives and demonstrating measurable business value.
