The Role and Impact
As a Senior Manager, Tax Planning, you will play a key role in Intel's Global Tax organization by providing technical tax analysis and strategic support for business initiatives, global tax planning strategies, government incentive programs, tax controversy matters, and changes in tax law. You will work closely with Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Government Affairs, Corporate Development and business stakeholders to identify tax risks and opportunities, support business decision-making, and develop practical solutions that align with Intel's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review technical tax analyses related to commercial transactions, international tax planning initiatives, legal entity restructurings, financing arrangements, and other strategic projects.
- Evaluate the impact of new tax legislation, regulations, and administrative guidance on Intel's global operations and tax planning strategies.
- Partner with Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Government Affairs, and business stakeholders to identify tax risks and opportunities and provide practical tax guidance.
- Support government incentive, tax credit, and grant initiatives through technical analysis, structuring, implementation, and documentation.
- Research complex tax issues and document conclusions through memoranda, presentations, and other written analyses.
- Support tax controversy matters, including audits, examinations, information requests, and audit defense documentation.
- Develop quantitative analyses to assess the tax and financial implications of business decisions and planning opportunities.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external advisors to develop and implement solutions for domestic and international tax matters.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field, or a Juris Doctor (JD).

  • 5+ years of experience in tax planning, including international tax planning, corporate restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, and transfer pricing.

  • Significant experience with U.S. federal income tax rules and regulations, including corporate and partnership taxation.

  • Strong tax research, analytical, technical writing, and communication skills, including proficiency with tax research software and tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in public accounting, a law firm, or a multinational corporate tax department.

  • International tax experience, including cross-border structuring and planning.

  • Experience supporting strategic tax projects, tax controversy matters, or business transactions.

  • CPA, Master's degree in Taxation, or LL.M. in Taxation.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $138,820.00-195,980.00 USD
