Job Description:

Johnson & Johnson is currently recruiting for a Senior Manager, Strategic Capabilities- Global Process Lead, FTA & COO! This position can be performed at J&J locations within US or EMEA regions with a preference for New Brunswick, NJ. Position Summary:

The Senior Manager, Global Trade Controls Strategic Capabilities serves as the Global Process Lead (GPL) for Free Trade Agreements (FTA) and Non-preferential Country of Origin (COO). This role is responsible for establishing global standards, governance, controls, and strategic direction to ensure compliant and efficient execution of FTA and COO processes across Johnson & Johnson.

The position partners across Global Trade Controls, Global Transportation & Trade Operations, Digital Enablement, Supply Chain, Procurement, Finance, Legal, and business sector teams to drive compliance, operational excellence, process transformation, and capability development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the global process owner and subject matter expert for FTA and COO programs.
  • Develop and maintain global standards, controls, governance frameworks, and process strategies in relation to FTA and COO
  • As the FTA and COO GPL, monitor regulatory developments and assess impacts to global trade processes and compliance requirements in the area
  • Provide strategic guidance and escalation support for complex FTA and COO matters.
  • Lead risk management, audit readiness, compliance assessments, and continuous process improvement initiative for FTAs and COO
  • Partner with Digital Enablement teams to define technology requirements and advance trade compliance capabilities for the 2 target areas.
  • Drive alignment across regions, sectors, and functional organizations to support consistent execution of FTA and COO global processes.
  • Develop COO and FTA training, communications, and capability-building initiatives to strengthen organizational knowledge and compliance.
  • Lead cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives that support Global Trade Controls priorities and transformation objectives.
Qualifications

Education:

A minimum of a Bachelors or equivalent university degree is required. Advanced or Masters degree preferred.

Required
  • 8-10 years +  of significant experience in Global Trade, Customs, Trade Compliance, Supply Chain Compliance, or related areas.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Free Trade Agreements, Country of Origin, and customs compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Experience leading global, cross-functional programs and influencing stakeholders across multiple business functions.
  • Strong analytical, communication, project management, and leadership skills.

Preferred

  • Advanced degree (MBA, JD, Masters in International Trade/Supply Chain).
  • Professional certifications (e.g., LCB, CCS, CITP, CUSECO, CES) a plus.
  • Experience within a regulated industry, particularly healthcare.

This position is preferably located in New Jersey (New Brunswick office), but is also open to remote locations. The position may require up to 25% domestic and international travel.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is :

$122,000.00 - $212,750.00

Additional Description for Pay Transparency:

Subject to the terms of their respective plans, employees are eligible to participate in the Companys consolidated retirement plan (pension) and savings plan (401(k)).

Subject to the terms of their respective policies and date of hire, employees are eligible for the following time off benefits:

Vacation 60 120 hours per calendar year

Sick time - 40 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Colorado 6048 hours per calendar year; for employees who reside in the State of Washington 56 hours per calendar year

Holiday pay, including Floating Holidays 6013 days per calendar year

Work, Personal and Family Time - up to 40 hours per calendar year

Parental Leave 60480 hours within one year of the birth/adoption/foster care of a child

Bereavement Leave 60240 hours for an immediate family member: 40 hours for an extended family member per calendar year

Caregiver Leave 6080 hours in a 52-week rolling period10 days
