Senior Manager, Senior Counsel - Antitrust
The Senior Manager, Senior Counsel role will be primarily responsible for advising business and legal stakeholders on complex antitrust and competition law matters, as well as providing strategic guidance across the enterprise. This position will have responsibility for:
- Providing expert counsel and strategic guidance on antitrust compliance and competition risks
- Developing and implementing antitrust compliance programs, policies, and enterprise-wide training initiatives
- Monitoring legal and regulatory developments in competition law and assessing their impact on the business
- Partnering collaboratively with other internal counsel and business teams across the enterprise
- When necessary, managing and coordinating outside counsel, including management of the delivery of services and cost
The successful candidate will have the following:

Basic Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- Active member in good standing of at least one state bar
- At least 6 years of experience as an attorney in a law firm environment, at a government agency, as a military judge advocate, or as in-house counsel
Preferred Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in a law firm environment, at a government agency, as a military judge advocate, or as in-house counsel
- 3+ years of experience providing advice and counsel on commercial transactions
- Experience within the payment card or payments industry
- Experience in financial services

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.
McLean, VA: $200,700 - $229,100 for Sr. Manager, Sr. Counsel
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate99s offer letter.
This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
