RoleWe are looking for a visionary Manager of Sales Engineering to lead a high-impact State/Local Govt and K12 SE team covering many states in the Central US (MidWest to TOLA). In this key leadership capacity, you will drive technical excellence and strategic growth across our State, Local, and Education accounts by empowering a high-performing technical sales team. Your expertise will bridge the gap between complex network security architectures and strategic business outcomes to accelerate transformation for our public sector customers.
What you'll do (Role Expectations)- Hire and develop a high-performing sales engineering team
- Refine sales engineering processes, including discovery, technical qualification, and proof-of-concept
- Coach your team to success with developing comprehensive solution proposals and delivering succinct, impactful product demonstrations
- Provide expert advice for requests for proposals (RFPs) and present recommendations to clients
- Create influence through technical whiteboarding and impactful presentations to your customers and their leadership teams with a keen eye on the personas in the room

What We're Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)- Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging, securing, or positioning AI-driven solutions to optimize outcomes within your functional domain
- 5+ years of experience in technical, customer-facing roles
- 2+ years of experience directly leading and managing technical teams
- Deep technical expertise and proven experience selling network security technologies such as SSL/web technologies, proxies, firewalls, SSL/IPsec, VPNs, DLP, and end-user monitoring
- Bachelor's Degree in Technology, a related field, or equivalent professional experience
What Will Make You Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)- Possession of industry certifications such as CCNP, JNCIP, PCNSA, CISSP, or CCSP
- A leadership style that balances high-level strategy with the ability to "roll up sleeves" for strategic account wins
- Deep understanding of complex, multi-year sales cycles and expertise in value-based storytelling

The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.
Base Pay Range
$201,000-$251,250 USD
